Textile
At Polygiene, we believe that the best test method is always first-hand experience. Put on clothing permanently treated with Polygiene, and go for a run. Don’t launder your clothing afterwards. Put it aside, wear it again without laundering for several outings and feel the difference!
This type of field test convinced our partners, such as Haglöfs, POC, Lowe Alpine, and Millet, of Polygiene’s high efficacy. After verifying Polygiene functionality through field tests together with our partners, we then conduct laboratory tests to verify proper application of Polygiene to their products.
Performed at independent test institutes, these laboratory tests use standard international testing methods to test gram-positive odor-causing bacteria such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Test results prove that Polygiene is effective for the lifetime of the garment.

Based on internationally recognized standard test methods, independent laboratory tests conducted in Europe and Asia demonstrate that Polygiene is effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold and mildew, including E-coli and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Results demonstrate how Polygiene antimicrobial treatment works upon contact.
Additional testing in China has shown Polygiene technology to be effective against the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) Corona virus and H5N1 avian flu when used with products manufactured from amino molding compounds. These anti-viral properties make Polygiene unique.
